Trying The Diana

Prior to our St. Augustine vacation, I bought myself a Diana camera.  I am itching to try film again, and this is a fun and inexpensive way to explore. The light is so beautiful and plentiful there, I figured it was a great opportunity to experiment.

Photos Six And Seven

The show will still be up for another couple weeks, in case you haven't had an opportunity to view everyone's work. I'm sharing some more photos here today.

I will be hanging a small selection of earlier work in a local cafe on Friday night. This will be a new experience for me. I'll give more detail in a few days!

Photos Two, Three And Four

The show is still continuing for a few weeks, so you have plenty of time to go on over and take a look at everyone's wonderful work.  I said I wanted to keep the excitement going by sharing a photo here every other day. I fell behind during the week, so here are a few today to catch up!

Group Show Announcement

Today is the final day of a six week photography master class that I have taken. It's been an incredible experience, and now the excitement begins with a month-long group online show! A link to the site will be available in a few days, but I couldn't wait to make the announcement.

Ten Self-Portraits

I recently took a ten day self-portraiture class.  We had a prompt for each day, which I have noted below the photographs. Since we posted our photos within a private class page, I wanted to see my images together, as well as have a record of what camera I used and how I edited them.

1. Identity; DSLR, distressed_fx; 2. Relationships; DSLR, distressed_fx; 3. Alternative Space; DSLR, distressed_fx; 4. Metaphor, Symbolism, Object; iPhone, distressed_fx; 5. Body Image; iPhone, slowshutter; 6. Surrogate; iPhone, Hipstamatic; 7. Conversations; DSLR, distressed_fx; 8. Mourning & Loss; DSLR, VSCO; 9. Secrets; DSLR, PicTapGo; 10. Naphopomo: Day Five

August was a big month photography-wise.  I participated in two month-long challenges. The images I chose to share with you today are both from our trip to St. Augustine, Florida.

Naphopomo: Day Four

We've arrived at mid-summer now in this catch-up week.  In July, I took a self-portraiture class that I fell in love with because the focus was on playing around with different lighting situations.

Naphopomo: Day Three

Continuing to bring you up to date here, at the end of June into July, I took a 10 day photography course unlike any I have experienced before. It was about allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and see with our hearts.

Naphopomo: Days One and Two

I think I have a little catching up to do!  I never intended to be away for six months. I'm taking advantage of this challenge to get caught up and recharged here.

To start with, I thought I'd share what I've been up to creatively.  Beginning in April, I participated in April Love.

Also In April, I began the100dayproject.  I photographed patterns I found for 100 days from the day after Easter until July 14.
